Recommend the parking garage diagonal (SE) across the street from the train depot. It is on the other side of the tracks from Ramos House, but it is a very short walk and the parking garage was not expensive.
Not even in the yard !
It is quite pleasing but prix fix only & I am taken aback by the price: $35 which includes a starter & entree. Or, drink & entree. That equates to $20-$25 for the entree & $10-$15 for an appetizer or drink. The portions are fine for most but hard to justify $20/$25 for an egg dish or bowl of stew. This is our once a yr when we're in the area place.
There can be a small wait on the weekends as it gets busy for brunch. I recommend trying the quail eggs and the Aligash Curiuex
Sunday is set price dinners. I would get resevations.
It is first come, first serve. Reservation only for parties of 10 or more.
You would do well to call and inquire about reservations. There food is excellent. I suggest you spend time and look around the area. There is some very nice places. Check the mission out you might enjoy that. There is a lot of history. Have fun and good luck.
You would need to call. They only serve brunch on the weekend. Great place to have a brunch.
I was not mistaken about giving this restaurant my 100% trust. They accommodated my inquiries professional and quickly without any hidden charges. Try their services and you won’t regret it for sure. They strive to provide us the best service that exceeds our expectations. Cheer to more customers in the future.
Absolutely beautiful in every regard. Food, menu, location, staff. All 5 star. Feels like its 100 years ago. Amazing
Wonderful place great atmosphere and even better food.
Great food! Great atmosphere. Try the beignets and crab hash with fried green Tomatoes. Delicious!
Very nice quaint place love the patio garden shaded area; which is great for weekend brunch ;-)Review for Weekend Brunch Menu $35pp (a bit pricey- does NOT include dessert; which it should...other restaurants do for this price):Champagne Orange & Pomegranate mimosas- pretty good just wished it was a bit bigger since it was not free unlimited refills =(Apple Cinnamon Beignets were kinda soggy but still yummy...Spicy Crab cake salad w/ smoked Chili Remould was very yummy; light but still filling & not spicy at all. But it needed more dipping sauce for the crab cakes because they were a bit on the bland side though...Smoked Bacon Scramble - pretty good...tasty & filling..Service was very slow; our waitress didn't check up on us at all after bringing us our plates. We had to wave her down couple times -1FYI: Parking is across the restaurant behind the gardens. Food: B+Service: CDecor: AAtmosphere: A (very chill & relaxed place)
The food is always consistently delicious. The seasonal pain perdu is always incredibly tasty and my favorite dish there. The mimosas are yummy and their Bloody Mary's are the best in South County. The atmosphere is garden chic and they always have great music playing. This place is worth several visits to try all their cuisine.
We went on weekend so you pay 35 dollars for a small plate and large plate. About 10 choice for small plate and about 10 for large plate. Server was nice. It took a while to get our large plate but the small plate came in a timely manner. The presentation of food was really nice. The food was good but I am not sure it was 35 dollars worth. It was a cozy place. My husband got a kick out of the bathroom. Check it out. I don't think I will go there again but I might recommend to try it once.
LOVE everything about this place!!! A little pricey, but taste was amazing! This is the huevos rancheros and so good!
Always love this place. The found is always a fun tasty menu. it's always good but sometimes it's down right amazing\excellent. It's a small place so be ready for that, but it's a wonderful place to bring a date or small group. Very memorable.
I read a review that a critic considered this place possibly the best breakfast in the country. Clearly I was skeptical. As a scout for great breakfast venues, I tried it out prior to touring the San Juan Capistrano Mission. The atmosphere and the simple attention to detail with food and setting has me contemplating life's fine pleasures. The creative, delicious take on lox and toast points hooked me on a return trip the next morning. A highlight item for me was the Scotch Quail Egg. Go—yet heed the purveyor's request to silence your phone and enjoy conversation, the meal, and the environment. You will not regret it.
This is by far the cutest spot I have ever experienced. A mans house where he serves incredible breakfast, lunch and brunch out of his small kitchen to his patrons on his patio. Built in 1881, you literally take a step back in time. Well worth the drive. Afterwards, take a leisurely wall down the street and visit the other small homes hosting a variety of arts, crafts, coffee and more. Near the mission and next to the Amtrak Surfliner. You can literally make this a beach city trip for the weekend. Just pick your stops...
A unique gem tucked away next to the train tracks in San Juan Capistrano. The atmosphere is full of rustic charm with lots of reclaimed wood, plants, & brick floors. Seating is outdoors only but is mostly covered and there are blankets available if it gets chilly. The food is some of the best and most unique in Orange county at any price point, portions are generally generous and every dish is photo worthy. The smoked bacon scramble and the beef stew are my personal favorites. Keep in mind it is a private residence and they are only open until 3pm.
This is a place for foodies. Unique food, good portions, great service. Try it, you'll love it.
Great service and you everything I've ever ordered has been nothing short of amazing
This restaurant is incredible! Though the price is not that affordable, we didn't regret spending the money in return for the yummiest food they served. The quality of the food and wine or drinks is world-class. The service is also outstanding. You won’t be disappointed with this restaurant. I can't wait to visit here again. Highly recommended!
Only had Bloody Mary's....very tasty. Appetizer and cocktail. Sat on porch at Ramos and enjoyed our cocktail. Nice way to spend time people watching. Place is crowded, but drink is worth the wait and cost...which is not inexpensive.
Cozy and cute place. The cinnamon beignets were perfect. Other dishes were flavorful. Love the citrus fruit in the small plate( beets dish). Portion is just right where you don't have to takeleftover home. Service was great too. It's a great place for brunch.
